We are facing an unprecedented health crisis that has brought our civil justice system to a halt. RESOLVE Law San Diego offers litigants the opportunity to connect with a retired judge or a qualified local attorney that will agree to hear matters free of charge. RESOLVE Law San Diego is not a court sponsored program, it is both voluntary and by stipulation of the parties only. The program will run through January 31, 2021 and is designed to streamline the law and motion and mediation process so that cases can move forward while the Court reopens and manages its caseload.
RESOLVE Law San Diego is the first of its kind. No other legal community in the State has put together a program designed to provide civil litigants an alternative and free venue for dispute resolution during this crisis. The San Diego legal community is leading the State in a collaborative and innovative approach to litigation through RESOLVE Law San Diego.
Disclaimer: RESOLVE Law San Diego is a volunteer effort in the San Diego legal community designed to provide help and assistance to civil litigants, given the delays and backlog in the civil justice system imposed by COVID 19. Various legal organizations and groups have pledged to support and/or endorsed RESOLVE Law. None of these endorsing organizations/groups bear any liability or responsibility for RESOLVE Law San Diego or the services provided by the volunteer neutrals who operate through RESOLVE Law, and all users of RESOLVE Law acknowledge and agree to the same. All users of RESOLVE Law also understand and acknowledge that the volunteer neutrals are acting in a quasi-judicial capacity and have the attendant immunities. As a purely volunteer effort, RESOLVE Law does not carry insurance of any sort for the program or its volunteer neutrals, and does not require volunteer neutrals to carry insurance.
